On December 17 this year, a meeting was held between the Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Trade Group Bekzod Mamatkulov.
During the meeting, the head of the ministry was presented with large investment projects being implemented by the company, as well as plans for their further expansion.
In particular, Bekzod Mamatkulov delved on the progress of the construction of the Modern Agrologistic Complex in the Sharaf-Rashidov district, the annually expanded saffron plantations in the Bakhmal district, the activities of the BMB Agro Trade agricultural cluster in the Arnasay district, as well as the development of the food cluster BMB Agroklaster in a number of districts of the Jizzakh region.
Also, the Minister of Agriculture was presented with the company’s proposal to create a chain of production, including the cultivation, processing, packaging of agricultural products, as well as agreements reached with German business circles on the creation of a hub in the region for the export of agricultural products to Germany and other European markets.
In turn, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture A. Voitov briefly spoke about the priority tasks for the development of the agricultural industry at the present stage, and also highly appreciated the significance and scale of the projects implemented by BMB Trade Group in the context of ensuring food security, expanding the export of national products to the world market, expressed willingness to assist in their further expansion.
Based on the results of the negotiations, the parties determined the main areas of interaction between the company and the industry departments of the ministry.
In addition, agreements were reached on the development of joint action plans for the successful implementation of the tasks of ensuring food security facing the agro-clusters.
