A talented young chess player, brand-ambassador of BMB Trade Group Humoyun Bekmurodov took 7th place in the “International Tournament named after Rustam Kasimdjonov” organized for the first time in Uzbekistan.
More than 20 chess players from 9 countries of the world competed in this tournament, which took place on March 28-29 this year.
Humoyun Bekmurodov, who played in the “Challengers” group, fought against such chess masters as Abdumalik Abdisalimov, Saidaliyev Saidakbar, Akmal Faizullaev, Ortik Nigmatov, Muhammadali Abdurakhmonov, Alexander Donchenko, Alexander Indjich, Gabriel Sarkisyan and Sanal Vakhap.
According to the results of the competition, our young chess player took the 7th place.
For information, Rustam Kasimdjonov is considered the most famous athlete in the history of Uzbek chess. He is an International Grandmaster and in 2004 became the FIDE Interpretation World Champion. The tournament named after him is held in Uzbekistan for the first time. The prize fund of the competition amounted to 70 thousand dollars.
