During the online communication, it was emphasized that the consistent development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Belgium largely depends on the results of practical cooperation between the business circles of the two countries. In addition, if we talk about Belgium, then in Western Europe there are two more developed countries that are members of the international economic and customs organization called Benelux – the Netherlands and Luxembourg. This, in turn, means three new and promising consumer markets with common criteria, needs and requirements. If we take into account the widespread use of saffron in the confectionery, food and pharmaceutical industries of these countries, the possibilities for exporting the medicinal plant grown and deeply processed in the Bakhmal region will expand even more.
Also, during the dialogue, issues related to increasing the export potential of Uzbekistan through the establishment of convenient transport and logistics routes for the delivery of various agricultural products and dried fruits, jams and juices produced by enterprises and clusters of the holding to the Belgian market were discussed in detail.
