Export agreement has been signed on supply of saffron to Spain
As it is known, delegation leaded by Chairman of Supervisory board of BMB Holding Bekzod Mamatkulov is in its another visit in Spain, with aim of execution of further improvement of holding’s export potential and with goal of meeting with European partners.
On January 28 of this year, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, with the President of AZAFRAN Carlos Fernandez in Madrid, BMB Za’faron grown by enterprises and clusters as part of BMB Holding, as well as various export agricultural products, deeply processed, were supplied to European countries, including to the Spanish market, and in other promising areas. Complex cooperation tasks were discussed.
Carlos Fernandez admitted that his company carefully studied Uzbek saffron for a year and successfully passed all laboratory tests.
As a result of the meeting, an export agreement was signed for the supply of saffron with a total value of 3 million euros to Spain, and an agreement was reached to increase the first export operation to the Spanish market from February.
Also, during the working visit of the holding delegation, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, a meeting was held with the President of ACIR SOUTHERN EUROPE Eduard Karlenovich Gulyan. During the meeting, issues of exporting processed products to the markets of Spain and other European countries, increasing export volumes of the medicinal product BMB Za’faron, expanding its geography, as well as providing joint consulting services to foreign organizations were also discussed.
