A meeting took place with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun
On February 21 of this year, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding Bekzod Mamatkulov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Uzbekistan Yu Jun.
During the meeting, Chinese diplomats got acquainted with the presentation of the large-scale activities of BMB Holding, large-scale export-oriented investment projects implemented in important sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.
After this, the guests were informed about the possibilities of growing vegetables and fruits, as well as deep processing enterprises, clusters specializing in growing various crops that are of interest to Chinese consumers, in particular, legumes and melons. The head of a foreign diplomatic institution was particularly interested in the project for growing, storing and exporting saffron in the Bakhmal district of Jizzakh region with Italian partners.
The Chinese side’s interest in this direction is not in vain. It is known that this country is traditionally considered to be advanced in the world due to its achievements in the field of food production, traditional medicine, medicine and pharmacology. In addition, Uzbek saffron is in great demand in the Chinese market, which is an effective remedy in the treatment of many diseases and is considered a natural component of the chemical composition of a number of medicines.
Mr. Ambassador invited Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding, to visit China and implement cooperation projects in broader areas with local businessmen. Bekzod Mamatkulov gladly accepted this offer and stated that he was ready to cooperate in raising Uzbekistan’s export indicators to a higher level through more efficient use of existing opportunities
