Prospects for the development of business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman were discussed

On February 13 of this year, at the head office of BMB Holding, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Bekzod Mamatkulov, and the representative of large businesses of the state of Oman, Hassan Al Rugaishi. This dialogue was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Oman. Because, effectively using the capabilities of the two countries, the expansion and development of business ties is one of the most relevant areas.

During the conversation, it was noted that a special role in the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Oman belongs to representatives of the private sector and business circles. Based on this, the emphasis was placed on supplying the Oman market with various competitive, export-oriented agricultural products, which are grown and deeply processed by enterprises and clusters that are part of BMB Holding.

In this context, the high demand for medicinal saffron products in Oman has been particularly noted. During the dialogue, large-scale tasks related to the implementation of other promising projects were discussed in detail. The parties jointly agreed to cooperate in developing new markets and expanding the circle of business partners, further increasing the export potential of Uzbekistan through convenient transport and logistics routes.

Hassan Al Rugaishi suggested that the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding, Bekzod Mamatkulov, visit the free economic zones of Oman in order to implement cooperation projects with businessmen there.
B. Mamatkulov welcomed this proposal and stated that BMB Holding is working to develop trade and economic cooperation with the Gulf countries and is ready to cooperate in raising Uzbekistan’s export performance to a higher level through more efficient use of existing opportunities.

We agreed that a future business meeting on specific areas will be held in Oman.
