On March 4 of this year, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding Bekzod Mamatkulov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Uzbekistan Jonathan Heniсk.
During the conversation, the American diplomats got acquainted with the presentation of the large-scale activities of BMB Holding, the massive export-oriented investment projects implemented in important sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.
In addition, it was noted that the scale of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States has been expanding in recent years. In particular, BMB Holding has been closely cooperating with the US company McCormick Global Ingredients Ltd on the export of BMB Saffron to the US market, the signing of a $5 million contract at the beginning of February this year, the visit to the holding enterprises by the representative of the Board of Directors of COSTCO, one of the largest hypermarket chains of the USA and agreements on the delivery of Uzbek saffron and value-added products made from saffron to the American markets, in particular to the COSTCO hypermarket network, were marked.
According to the results of the meeting, Mr. Ambassador declared his readiness to cooperate in the development of the business environment between two countries and to use the available opportunities more effectively. As a continuation of mutual partnership relations, it was agreed to organize a working visit of the BMB Holding delegation to the USA in the II quarter of this year.
