A meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan
On April 17 of this year, a bilateral meeting between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Bekzod Mamatkulov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Uzbekistan Muhammadali Iskandari was held at the head office of BMB HOLDING.
At the beginning of the conversation, it was noted with satisfaction that the political and trade relations between Uzbekistan and Iran have been rapidly developing in recent years, and the friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries has been strengthened.
After that, diplomats led by the ambassador were informed about the holding’s saffron products, in particular, saffron cultivation, processing and packaging, agricultural products, as well as the large projects implemented by the enterprises in the system, and the company was encouraged to cooperate with Iranian businessmen for mutual benefit for both sides. There was an announcement that the company is ready for this.
In turn, H.E. Muhammadali Iskandari put forward several proposals. In particular, he expressed his readiness to provide practical assistance to BMB HOLDING in allocating land and finding a local, reliable partner for the establishment of a company providing logistics and transport services from the territory of his country.
Also, the official representative of Iran invited the representatives of the holding to the international industrial exhibition “Iran Expo-2024” to be held in Tehran from April 27 to May 1. He noted the high demand in Iran for several products produced in Uzbekistan, in particular, legumes, silk products, and several other national products.
At the end of the meeting, today’s trade-economic, export-import issues were thoroughly analyzed, and it was agreed on large-scale cooperation in the implementation of mutually beneficial investment projects in the near future.
