MEETING WITH THE EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY AMBASSADOR OF THE UNITED STATES
On October 25 of this year, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING, met with Jonathan Henick, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, issues of further accelerating trade and economic relations were discussed, focusing on exporting products manufactured within the Holding’s system to American markets, particularly saffron products and deeply processed agricultural goods.
Specifically, they discussed supplying saffron and saffron-based products to major U.S. retail chains such as Costco Wholesale and McCormick & Company, as well as delivering deeply processed agricultural products to Walmart and other large retail markets. They also addressed the potential visit of a delegation led by the Chairman of the Holding’s Supervisory Board to the United States of America.
In turn, J. Henick highly commended the fact that saffron grown in Uzbekistan has obtained FDA approval and USDA Organic certification for export. He expressed confidence that BMB Za’faron products and the Holding’s deeply processed agricultural goods would soon be available in stores across the United States.
The Ambassador also acknowledged that this year, the Holding has established facilities for deep processing of agricultural products, as well as for drying and processing saffron.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to continue their cooperation and further develop trade and economic relations in areas of mutual interest.
