On July 27 of this year, representatives of BMB HOLDING, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Sweden, held a video conference with Asad Makhmudov, Commercial Director for Asian Markets at the Norwegian company Exotic Fruit AS.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties discussed Uzbekistan’s agro-industrial potential, opportunities for producing export-oriented products, and prospects for further expanding BMB HOLDING’s presence in international markets.
During the meeting, BMB HOLDING also presented its activities in agriculture, the agro-industrial sector, transport and logistics, and tourism. Particular attention was given to the Holding’s integrated business model, which encompasses the entire value chain-from agricultural production and deep processing to export.
The parties also reviewed the prospects for supplying high value-added products to the markets of Norway and other Nordic countries. In particular, they discussed export opportunities for dried fruits, freeze-dried products manufactured using Freeze-Dried technology, fruits and vegetables processed using IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) technology, as well as other agricultural products to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland.
In addition, the participants exchanged views on compliance with international quality standards, certification requirements, efficient logistics solutions, and the development of export proposals tailored to the needs of the Nordic market.
The online meeting also covered an initiative to organize a business mission of Uzbek companies to Norway in the second half of October this year. A representative of Exotic Fruit AS noted that holding the visit within the framework of OSLO INNOVATION WEEK 2026, one of Northern Europe’s leading innovation platforms, could provide an effective opportunity for establishing new business partnerships. The event is expected to bring together more than 15,000 participants from nearly 50 countries.
At the conclusion of the constructive and friendly discussions, the parties agreed to continue developing mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening trade and economic relations, and expanding the presence of BMB HOLDING’s products in the markets of Norway and the Nordic region.
