On october 29 of this year, BMB HOLDING Department Director Bobir Yakhyaev held a meeting with a delegation led by Lei Ning, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Association of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed plans to establish a modern medical centre in Uzbekistan, equip it with advanced medical equipment, and attract Chinese investment and cutting-edge technologies to the healthcare sector.
The discussions also covered opportunities to introduce Chinese-made medicines, pharmaceutical products, and high-tech medical equipment to the Uzbek market, as well as to implement modern diagnostic and treatment methods in Uzbekistan’s healthcare system.
Particular attention was paid to innovative technologies for treating oncological diseases. The Chinese delegation provided information on methods designed to target and destroy cancer cells. The parties emphasised the importance of thoroughly assessing the scientific validity, clinical efficacy, and safety of these technologies before considering their practical application.
It is worth noting that an intergovernmental agreement aimed at developing cooperation in medical services between Uzbekistan and China was signed on 1 September 2025. The agreement provides an important foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation in healthcare delivery, professional development for medical specialists, and the exchange of expertise.
Following the meeting, which was held in a constructive atmosphere, the parties identified areas for further consideration, including investment and technological proposals for establishing the medical centre, assessment of opportunities for supplying medical equipment and pharmaceutical products, and the development of organisational and technical aspects of future cooperation.
