On May 8 of this year, an event dedicated to establishing the activities of the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association and developing corporate sports was held in Tashkent. Representatives from the state and private sectors, heads of sports organizations, and over 200 entrepreneurs who provide employment for nearly 170,000 employees participated in the event.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-421 dated December 4, 2024, the Uzbekistan Corporate Sports Association was established to promote sports and physical activity among business entities. D. Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was elected as the Association’s Chairman, and Sh. Sattorov was appointed as Executive Director.

The meeting discussed the development and popularization of corporate sports, particularly the systematic organization of sports competitions among entrepreneurs by the Association. It was also determined that the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee would provide support in improving sports infrastructure and offering organizational and methodological assistance.

The following representatives of large businesses were designated as members of the Association’s Management Board for various sports:
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING: Bekzod Mamatkulov – football and futsal;
Zafar Khoshimov (“Korzinka”) – basketball;
Bakhodir Abdullayev (“B.A. Holding”) – table tennis;
Murad Nazarov (“Murad Buildings”) – track and field.

Additionally, during the meeting, it was proposed to elect Jakhongir Artikhodjayev, the founder of “AKFA GROUP,” as the first deputy chairman of the Association, and Shukhrat Ergashev, the chairman of the board of directors of “International Beverages Tashkent” LLC, as the deputy chairman. This proposal was unanimously supported.

At the conclusion of the event, participants agreed to develop corporate sports and systematically hold sports competitions among entrepreneurs.
