From September 22 to 29 of this year, the World Chess Championship for juniors under 20 in the rapid and blitz formats took place in Lima, the capital of Peru. This prestigious tournament brought together 89 of the strongest young chess players from 19 countries.

Representing Uzbekistan, six talented athletes proudly defended the nation’s honor. Among them, BMB HOLDING’s brand ambassador Umida Omonova stood out with her remarkable and commendable performance.

A multiple-time champion of national and international tournaments, Umida Omonova demonstrated her exceptional skill and experience, scoring 9.5 points in the blitz category and securing the silver medal.
