On February 12 of the current year, the Uzbekistan–Syria Business Forum was held for the first time in Tashkent at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by a delegation of Syrian business representatives headed by Ala’a Omar Al-Ali, President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, as well as around 200 entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan representing various sectors of the economy.
Within the framework of the forum, participants discussed cooperation in the fields of agro-industry, production and processing of food products, manufacturing and supply of construction materials, pharmaceuticals, export of textile products, as well as the establishment of trading houses and permanent showrooms.
In addition, during B2B meetings, Khayrulla Nabijonov, Deputy General Director of BMB HOLDING, held negotiations with Nachat Al-Rifai, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Daraa Province (Syria), on establishing mutually beneficial and promising trade and economic cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to thoroughly explore the existing potential, develop practical mechanisms for cooperation, and ensure the gradual advancement of long-term partnership relations.
