From February 18 to 21, the international forum AgroDialogue 2026 was held in Bishkek, bringing together government officials, agribusiness leaders and industry experts to advance regional agricultural cooperation.
Among the key participants was Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, who emphasized the importance of strengthening regional partnerships and expanding bilateral trade in the agricultural sector.
The forum agenda focused on accelerating the adoption of innovative solutions, improving production efficiency, enhancing knowledge exchange among farmers and specialists, and increasing export-oriented output. Discussions also addressed the development of agricultural value chains, the effective implementation of modern technologies, and measures to boost farm competitiveness in regional and international markets.
During the forum sessions, Khurshidbek Isakov, Head of Sales at BMB Holding, delivered a presentation titled “Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan: Deepening Agricultural Cooperation and Expanding Exports of Fresh and Processed Products, with a Focus on Saffron Consumption Culture.” He outlined practical proposals aimed at launching joint initiatives, expanding export geography, and developing high value-added production, including saffron cultivation and processing.
A key outcome of the forum was the signing of a cooperation agreement between BMB Holding and one of Kyrgyzstan’s leading berry suppliers, Ismail. The agreement provides for increased bilateral trade volumes, broader export reach, and the establishment of structured supplies of processed agricultural products.
AgroDialogue 2026 reaffirmed its role as an effective platform for strengthening regional agricultural integration, enhancing export capacity, and advancing the sector through modern business-driven approaches.
