On February 24 of this year, a business forum was held in Tashkent as part of the fifth meeting of the Council of Business Circles of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
The forum was aimed at further strengthening trade and economic relations between the two countries, promoting new investment projects, establishing direct dialogue between business communities, and fostering mutually beneficial cooperation.
During the plenary session, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Turchin, delivered speeches highlighting the positive dynamics in the development of economic relations between the two states in recent years and outlining prospects for further cooperation.
The forum brought together official delegations of both countries, representatives of ministries and government agencies, as well as major companies and business circles, including Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING.
In addition, B2B meetings were organized within the framework of the fifth meeting of the Council of Business Circles of Uzbekistan and Belarus with entrepreneurs visiting from the Republic of Belarus.
During the meetings, representatives of BMB HOLDING held negotiations with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Yakovchits, Deputy General Director of Atlant Incorporated Olga Valzdorf, and First Deputy General Director of the “Krasny” confectionery factory Alexander Gorbatenko.
At the negotiations, the Belarusian side expressed interest in the holding’s saffron-based products, as well as honey, dried apricots, and peanuts. The parties thoroughly discussed the export potential of these products, possible supply volumes, and promising areas for future cooperation.
Following the meetings, the participants exchanged the necessary contact information and agreed to continue negotiations.
The business forum will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening trade and economic ties between the two states and further developing cooperation between the business communities of both countries.
