As previously reported, the SelectUSA Investment Summit is taking place in the United States from May 3 to 6 this year.
On the first day of the summit, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING Bekzod Mamatkulov took part in the “Eurasia Meet and Greet” event organized at the initiative of U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce David Fogel.
For reference, David Fogel is a representative of the U.S. Department of Commerce overseeing international cooperation and investment. He is responsible for fostering economic ties with the Eurasian region, attracting foreign investment, and expanding business engagement.
The “Eurasia Meet and Greet” event was also attended by Furkat Sidikov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the United States, Jonathan Henick, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Uzbekistan, Akram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade as well as a delegation of Uzbek entrepreneurs.
During the meeting, participants discussed in detail issues related to further improving the investment climate, advancing joint investment projects, and expanding cooperation in the fields of industry, infrastructure, agriculture, and innovative technologies.
In addition, special attention was given to Uzbekistan’s investment potential, the ongoing reforms in the country, and the favorable conditions being created for foreign investors. Concrete initiatives were also proposed to establish direct contacts with American business circles, develop new trade and economic ties, and strengthen existing partnerships.
It should be noted that the SelectUSA Investment Summit serves as an important platform for elevating mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbek and American entrepreneurs to a new level, boosting investment flows, and expanding the scale of promising joint projects.
