NEW PROSPECTS FOR UZBEKISTAN-CHINA AGROTECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION DISCUSSED

On 22 July 2026, a meeting was held between Bobir Yakhyayev, Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations of BMB HOLDING, and Ms. Liu Liang, International Marketing Director of the Chinese company SINOSO.

The discussions focused on further expanding the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China in the agricultural sector, introducing innovative technologies into agricultural production, and advancing the digitalization of production processes.

During the meeting, BMB HOLDING presented its ongoing projects aimed at developing the agro-industrial sector, cultivating and processing agricultural products, manufacturing high value-added products, as well as implementing digital technologies and innovative solutions in agriculture.

In turn, representatives of SINOSO introduced the company’s advanced solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), GNSS navigation, intelligent irrigation systems, and agricultural robotics. It was emphasized that these technologies enable the implementation of precision agriculture, more efficient use of water and other resources, increased labor productivity, and broader opportunities for the digitalization of production processes.

It was also noted that SINOSO took its first practical steps toward entering the Uzbek market in December 2025. The company established distribution partnerships with local counterparts and conducted pilot testing of its advanced agricultural technologies with the participation of farming enterprises.

During the negotiations, the parties thoroughly discussed the potential application of SINOSO technologies in BMB HOLDING’s agricultural projects, particularly in horticulture, the production of high value-added products, efficient water resource management, and the digitalization of production processes.

At the conclusion of the meeting, held in a constructive atmosphere, the parties agreed to continue strengthening Uzbekistan–China agrotechnological cooperation through the adaptation of technological solutions to local conditions, the exchange of expertise, and the implementation of joint practical projects.
