On 30 July this year, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING Bekzod Mamatkulov held another meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Walid Fouque.

At the beginning of the talks, it was particularly emphasized that, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the strategic partnership between the two countries has reached a qualitatively new level in recent years, while trade, economic and investment cooperation continues to expand steadily.

The meeting became a logical continuation of the consistently developing practical cooperation between BMB HOLDING and the Embassy of France in Uzbekistan. The parties reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements and discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation in the areas of investment, exports, the agro-industrial sector, and the development of direct ties between the business communities of the two countries.

Particular attention was given to promoting competitive products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the French market, expanding exports of high value-added products, and fostering long-term partnerships with French companies.

The parties also expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the French Ambassador’s previous visit to BMB HOLDING enterprises, during which he became acquainted with the Holding’s modern agrologistics system, advanced agricultural processing facilities, internationally compliant quality control system, and export infrastructure, highly appreciating the work being carried out.

The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation in the tourism sector. In particular, the parties highlighted the importance of the Za’faron Premium hotel network established by BMB HOLDING, as well as the modern tourism infrastructure projects being implemented in Uzbekistan with the participation of the French company POMA, in further enhancing the country’s tourism potential.

Taking into account Bekzod Mamatkulov’s role as President of the Futsal Federation of Uzbekistan, the parties also exchanged views on the development of sports diplomacy, strengthening cooperation in futsal, promoting the exchange of experience, training specialists, and organizing joint events.

In addition, Ambassador Walid Fouque invited B. Mamatkulov to pay a working visit to France in October this year. It was noted that the visit is expected to include meetings with the leadership of Business France, as well as representatives of leading French companies and business circles, to discuss new avenues of cooperation.

At the conclusion of the negotiations, which were held in a constructive and business-oriented atmosphere, the parties agreed to further strengthen the role of the private sector in advancing the Uzbek-French strategic partnership, promote joint investment and export projects, and expand cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
