Recently, Deputy General Director of BMB HOLDING Khayrulla Nabijonov met with Ivan Cao, Regional Managing Director of BYD Group for Central Asia, Morgan Yin, Deputy Director of BYD Factory Uzbekistan, and Yusuf Ma, Director of Business Development at BYD Central Asia.
The meeting focused on the development of modern industry in Uzbekistan, the introduction of advanced technologies, the effective utilization of investment potential, and the expansion of industrial cooperation.
The Chinese partners were provided with an overview of BMB HOLDING’s diversified operations, ongoing investment projects, production capacities, and promising business initiatives.
Particular attention was paid to promising areas for the development of the automotive industry, new energy vehicles, advanced technologies, and industrial cooperation. The parties agreed to expand practical cooperation within the framework of investment and industrial projects, as well as to jointly develop and implement mutually beneficial initiatives.
As is known, BYD’s production performance in Uzbekistan has been steadily increasing. More than 4,000 vehicles were produced in 2024, followed by over 20,000 vehicles in 2025. In the first half of 2026, BYD Uzbekistan sold more than 17,000 vehicles.
The talks also addressed the export of BYD vehicles manufactured in Uzbekistan to the markets of Central Asia and other international markets, the production of electric buses, the establishment of engineering and service centers, as well as the introduction of innovative solutions in the field of green transportation.
In addition, the significant contribution of Ivan Cao, Regional Managing Director of BYD Group for Central Asia, to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and BYD was recognized. In recognition of his contribution, he was awarded the “Do‘stlik” Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, it was noted that the agreements reached provide an important foundation for further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between BMB HOLDING and BYD Central Asia in the fields of industry, investment, and advanced technologies, as well as for implementing new promising projects.
