On March 3 of this year, a meeting was held at the headquarters of BMB HOLDING with a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Uzbekistan, Girts Jaunzems. The negotiations were also attended by the Head of the Latvian Trade Representation Georgiy Voevoda, Director of Port of Ventspils Igors Udodovs, Deputy Director of Port of Riga Edgars Suna, and Chairman of the Management Board of Latvian Railways Rinalds Plavnieks.
At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy General Director of the HOLDING Khayrulla Nabijonov provided the guests with detailed information on the key areas of activity of the enterprises within the Holding’s structure, their export potential, ongoing joint investment projects, and the results achieved to date.
Ambassador Girts Jaunzems noted with satisfaction that mutually beneficial partnership relations have already been established between the Holding and representatives of the Latvian business community, and that practical cooperation in this direction is being consistently advanced.
During the discussion, the heads of the ports of Ventspils and Riga emphasized the possibility of creating a specialized hub for the Holding’s products, which would open up additional opportunities for entering the markets of a number of European countries, as well as the United States.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan and Latvia, the development of cooperation in the field of logistics, including the establishment of a joint venture.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation, expand trade and economic relations, and implement new joint investment projects.
