On October 8 of this year, Khayrulla Nabijonov, Deputy General Director of BMB HOLDING, held a meeting with Shahboz Shoev, Trade Representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further development of trade and economic ties between the two countries, the export of BMB HOLDING products to the Tajik market, strengthening cooperation between business communities, and opportunities to expand engagement in investment and tourism.
Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan continues to develop steadily, creating new opportunities to increase bilateral trade and expand industrial cooperation.
An important milestone in strengthening bilateral relations was the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, chaired by the leaders of both countries, held in Tashkent on March 26, 2026. During the meeting, the two sides set a target of increasing bilateral trade to USD 2 billion by 2028. They also reached agreements aimed at advancing joint production initiatives.
Achieving these objectives is also important for BMB HOLDING as it seeks to strengthen its presence in regional markets and explore new export opportunities. The Holding’s capabilities in agribusiness and food processing offer significant potential for developing cooperation with Tajikistan. In this regard, particular attention was given to establishing direct contacts with local importers, broadening the range of products supplied, and developing reliable supply channels.
The meeting also focused on expanding cooperation in tourism. In particular, the parties agreed to establish direct contacts with tour operators, travel companies, and Destination Management Companies in Tajikistan, provide them with information about ZA’FARON PREMIUM HOTEL properties and commercial proposals, and develop mutually beneficial terms of cooperation. These efforts are expected to encourage greater tourism exchange and promote the Holding’s hospitality services across regional markets.
The talks, held in a constructive atmosphere, marked an important step towards strengthening BMB HOLDING’s trade and economic ties with Tajikistan, expanding its export potential, and developing new areas of cooperation.
