MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE KYRGYZ REPUBLIC TO UZBEKISTAN

On April 15 of this year, a meeting was held at the Head Office of BMB HOLDING between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Holding, Bekzod Mamatkulov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to our country, Duyshonkul Chotonov.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador highly commended the process of consistent reforms carried out in recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, particularly highlighting the favorable business environment created in our country and efforts towards economic growth. “These positive changes are laying a solid foundation for expanding mutually beneficial relations with fraternal countries, including Kyrgyzstan,” noted D. Chotonov.

On the path of developing economic cooperation

During the dialogue, the parties discussed issues of further expansion of mutual trade and economic cooperation. Specifically, they explored possibilities for implementing joint projects in the agro-industrial sector, attracting investments, developing export-import operations, transport and logistics, and the service sector.

During the conversation, complementary aspects such as Kyrgyzstan’s enormous potential in agricultural production and Uzbekistan’s modern processing technologies and logistics infrastructure were acknowledged. From this perspective, they agreed to establish mutually beneficial trade and economic projects in the agricultural sector, create joint production enterprises, and collaboratively increase the export volume of finished products.

Additionally, within the framework of the meeting, Ambassador D. Chotonov familiarized himself with high value-added products grown and deeply processed by enterprises within the Holding system, and invited B. Mamatkulov to Kyrgyzstan. In turn, B. Mamatkulov expressed interest in investing in horticulture, animal husbandry, and tourism sectors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed firm confidence that such open, friendly, and productive dialogues would elevate the multifaceted strategic partnership between the fraternal and neighboring countries to a qualitatively new level, creating a solid foundation for the implementation of mutually beneficial projects between the business circles of the two countries.
