On April 24 of this year, a meeting took place at the head office of BMB HOLDING between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Holding, Mr. Bekzod Mamatkulov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to the Republic of Uzbekistan, H.E. Mr. Jonathan Henick.
Promoting National Products to International Markets
At the outset of the meeting, the Ambassador was briefed on the newly launched enterprises, recent achievements, and current projects underway within the BMB HOLDING system. It was noted with satisfaction that the validity of the USDA Organic Certificate and the FDA permit had been extended—an important milestone in building trust among U.S. consumers for products originating from Uzbekistan.
Mr. Bekzod Mamatkulov remarked:
“We have consistently aimed to develop products that meet international standards, are environmentally friendly, and driven by innovation. We remain committed to ensuring that our national products earn a prominent place in global markets.”
During the visit, Ambassador Henick was shown the freeze-dried fruits and vegetables displayed in the showroom located at the Holding’s head office. He commended the quality and technological sophistication of the products, emphasizing that BMB HOLDING demonstrates not only considerable economic potential but also strong scientific and innovative capabilities.
The Ambassador also visited the company museum, which highlights key milestones in the Holding’s eight-year history. It was additionally noted that agreements had been successfully reached for the supply of saffron and deeply processed agricultural products produced by BMB enterprises to major U.S. retail chains such as Costco and Walmart. The contracts are expected to be signed in the near future. Furthermore, it was mentioned that BMB HOLDING has maintained close cooperation with McCormick Global Ingredients Ltd for several years.
H.E. Mr. Jonathan Henick stated:
“Leading companies in Uzbekistan are revealing new dimensions of economic collaboration between our countries. In recent years, bilateral relations have expanded not only in the political and cultural spheres but also in economic terms. We are always ready to support BMB HOLDING in securing a firm position in the U.S. market.”
Expanding Horizons of Cooperation
As part of the discussions, the upcoming business visit of the Holding’s management to the United States was also addressed. During this visit, meetings with American entrepreneurs are planned, creating opportunities for exploring new markets, forming new agreements, and unlocking new possibilities for cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Bekzod Mamatkulov and Ambassador H.E. Jonathan Henick expressed their mutual commitment to further expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the business communities of Uzbekistan and the United States. They agreed on the importance of increasing both the volume and range of exported products and maintaining regular dialogue going forward.
