On May 16 of this year, the opening ceremony of the legume processing enterprise of BMB AGRO took place in the Arnasay district of the Jizzakh region. At the event, organized jointly by the prosecutor’s office of Jizzakh region and the administration of Arnasay district, sunnat tuy were also held for children living in the district.
The event was attended by residents of Arnasoy district, the Deputy Governor of Jizzakh region for agriculture and water management Z. Ruziyev, the Prosecutor of Jizzakh region B. Ibrohimov, the Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Jizzakh region G. Qodirov, the Head of the Tax Department of Jizzakh region B. Ismailov, the Governor of Arnasoy district O. Musanov, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING B. Mamatqulov, and media representatives.
The BMB AGRO enterprise, part of BMB HOLDING, operating in the Arnasay district of the Jizzakh region, specializes mainly in the cultivation of agricultural and export-oriented products, and the introduction of modern technologies and scientific approaches by the Holding into the industry today has a positive impact on the quality and quantity of the harvest.
The enterprise has reclaimed and restored lands that had not been used for many years, which were saline and low-yielding. As a result of scientifically based agrotechnical measures, cotton yields have reached 30-35 centners per hectare, and grain yields have reached 70-80 centners per hectare in recent years.
The enterprise’s activities are not limited to the cultivation of grain and cotton but also include legumes and melons – mung beans, beans, peas, watermelons, melons, pumpkins, and other types of agricultural products.
The grown products are cleaned, calibrated, sorted by color and size in accordance with international requirements, leveled, then packaged and exported to foreign countries. A certain portion is supplied to the domestic market, and the rest is sent for processing to other enterprises within the BMB HOLDING system.
The cluster under the BMB HOLDING system, together with the enterprises within the Holding and dehkan, farmer, and household farms of the region, has planted high-quality tomatoes on 50 hectares of land in the Arnasay district, mung beans on 5,000 hectares, legumes such as beans on 2,000 hectares, and melons and other gourds on 1,500 hectares under contract farming agreements. The grown products are exported to Latvia and Poland in Europe, while legumes are mainly exported to China. Since the beginning of the year, products worth $2.4 million have been exported abroad, and by the end of the year, it is planned to increase this figure to $10 million.
The annual capacity of the legume processing enterprise, part of BMB AGRO, is 65,000 tons, and it is equipped with modern technologies imported from Turkey and China, with a total value of 6.5 billion soums.
Although innovative and scientific approaches, effective management, and sustainable development are defined as the main priorities in BMB HOLDING’s activities, it also always upholds the ancient traditions of our people, such as ensuring employment, humanism, and kindness.
The sunnat tuy for 50 children from Arnasoy at today’s event serves as clear evidence of our point. It is natural that their parents are equally delighted that a festive table was set for them, souvenirs were presented to the children at the ceremony, and a bank deposit was opened for each of the children with money transferred to their accounts.
In short, the enterprise intends to further expand its land area, increase the range of products and export volume, and continue to regularly hold charitable events.
