On July 25 of this year, a meeting was held at the headquarters of BMB HOLDING between the Deputy CEO, Sardorbek Rozukulov, and a delegation from the Republic of Korea led by Sooho Han, a professor at Chungnam National University, a leading institution in the field of agriculture, and a member of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Commission.

During the meeting, the guests were presented with detailed information about the company’s key areas of activity, international investment projects, as well as its experience and achievements in the processing of agricultural products — particularly in the cultivation and processing of saffron and saffron-based products.

The representatives of Chungnam National University expressed strong interest in value-added agricultural products, especially those based on saffron. During the negotiations, it was noted that in order to enhance the export potential of Uzbek saffron to the Republic of Korea, a proposal is being planned to submit to the Korean government commission to reduce import duties on such products.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a working visit of the Korean delegation to BMB HOLDING facilities located in the Jizzakh region in October of this year.
