On August 12 of this year, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING, Bekzod Mamatkulov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alexander Ogorodnikov.
At the beginning of the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus have been steadily growing year by year, with an increase in the volume of mutual trade.
Mr. Ogorodnikov further emphasized that in recent years, global markets have shown growing demand for natural, high-quality, and export-oriented agricultural products produced in Uzbekistan. In this regard, he highlighted the strong interest of major Belarusian companies in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for cooperation in agriculture, industry, logistics, and trade. They also exchanged views on the potential of modern agro-logistics complexes, the expansion of logistical capabilities, and the creation of new transport corridors. Particular attention was paid to issues of trade turnover, as well as the export and import of goods with high consumer demand.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize meetings with representatives of Belarusian companies to discuss projects planned for implementation in the near future in cooperation with the Belarusian side.
