Talented chess player and BMB HOLDING brand ambassador, Umida Omonova, has successfully fulfilled the final normative requirement to receive the title of International Women’s Grandmaster (WGM) at the international tournament “FIDE Women Grand Swiss 2025” held in Samarkand.

This achievement is not only a personal success for Umida but also another significant triumph for the entire Uzbek chess school and the country’s sports community.

In recent years, the government of Uzbekistan, along with representatives of the private sector, has been paying special attention to supporting young talents, particularly fostering the potential of young female athletes. The conditions created for promising athletes like Umida are the result of ongoing sports reforms.
