On September 30 of this year, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING, held a meeting with Mr. Walid Fouque, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the conversation, special emphasis was placed on the historic significance of the agreements reached during the meeting between the Presidents of our countries, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emmanuel Macron, held on March 12, 2025, in Paris, regarding the further development of foreign economic cooperation.
During the negotiations, Bekzod Mamatkulov provided detailed information about the production capabilities of the companies within the holding, as well as the planned visit of the BMB HOLDING delegation to European countries. The Ambassador expressed his readiness to fully support the organization of the visit to France and meetings with leading business circles, in particular with Pascal Cagni, President of Business France.
The parties paid special attention to expanding trade and economic ties and enriching the visit program with new directions, which will further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Mr. Walid Fouque also emphasized the important role of regional projects in developing international partnerships and confirmed his readiness to visit the Jizzakh region to familiarize himself with the activities of the Holding’s enterprises located in this area.
In addition to business-related issues, the sphere of sports was also a key topic of discussion. As the President of the Uzbekistan Futsal Federation, Bekzod Mamatkulov noted the rapid development of national futsal and the successful experience of inviting world football stars to the country. In particular, the visit of legendary French footballers – Franck Ribery, Claude Makelele, Ludovic Giuly, and Vincent Candela – to Uzbekistan was mentioned.
Furthermore, during the negotiations, matters concerning organizing a meeting with the leadership of the French Football Federation, were discussed.
Overall, the negotiations were conducted in a constructive and business-like atmosphere. It was noted that the initiatives discussed would make a worthy contribution to the further development of cooperation between New Uzbekistan and France.
