THE DEPUTY MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE ACTIVITIES OF THE BMB-NRC AGROLOGISTICS COMPLEX

On October 16 of this year, a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Maksim Borovoy visited the joint venture BMB-NRC Agrologistics, operating in the Sharaf Rashidov district.

The delegation included Alexey Ulyanov, Uzbekistan’s representative to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and Vyacheslav Semyonov, Head of the Department of Rosselkhoznadzor.

The guests were accompanied by Zafar Ruziyev, deputy khokim for Agriculture and Water Resources of the Jizzakh region, Aziz Mamatkulov, Co-founder of BMB HOLDING, and Sardorbek Rozukulov, deputy general director of the Holding.

The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize the delegation with the activities of the modern agrologistics complex and to discuss the expansion of export-import operations between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation through more efficient use of the complex’s potential.

During the visit, the guests learned in detail about the operations of the agrologistics complex, its production capacities, export potential, and processes for sorting, processing, packaging, and storing various types of agricultural products grown in different regions of Uzbekistan. They also reviewed the “Single window” system for customs, banking, and phytosanitary documentation, as well as services in the field of transportation and logistics.

The presentation of the complex also featured Alexey Belous, CEO of the joint venture. During the discussions, the parties considered several proposals and initiatives aimed at further developing the complex’s operations, expanding export and import volumes, and strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations.

As a result, the parties reached a number of agreements to increase the export volumes of saffron and various types of high value-added agricultural products from Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation, as well as to further improve the activities of the Rosselkhoznadzor laboratory.

Overall, the meeting not only showcased the economic and investment potential of the Jizzakh region but also laid a solid foundation for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Russian Federation, strengthening export-import relations, and enhancing the investment climate in Uzbekistan.
