As part of a working visit to European countries, on October 24 of this year in Paris, with the support of the Embassy of France in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING, held productive negotiations with Marie-Cécile Tardieu, Deputy CEO of BUSINESS FRANCE.

Following detailed presentations about the activities of both parties, the discussions focused on establishing cooperation in the following key and promising areas:

• Establishing direct connections between BMB HOLDING and French companies, as well as expanding opportunities for experience exchange;
• Exporting agricultural and processed products produced in Uzbekistan to the French market and improving the logistics system;
• Developing cooperation in the tourism sector, in particular by organizing bilateral tourist programs between France and Uzbekistan;
• Implementing new investment projects on the territory of Uzbekistan.

For reference: BUSINESS FRANCE is the national agency that supports French companies in entering international markets and attracts foreign investments. The agency operates through around 150 offices in more than 60 countries worldwide. In 2022, the organization supported over 1,500 export projects and facilitated the implementation of more than 1,300 foreign investment initiatives.

In addition, during the meeting, the French side was presented with information about the growing international reputation of Uzbek saffron, produced under the BMB Za’faron brand. It was noted that the healing properties and export potential of this national product sparked great interest among the representatives of BUSINESS FRANCE.

Overall, this meeting became an important step toward strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries, promoting new joint initiatives, and expanding the export of Uzbek products to European markets.
