On October 29, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, a business forum was held with the participation of the BMB HOLDING delegation, as well as representatives of major British companies and chambers of commerce.
At the beginning of the forum, Ravshan Usmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom, noted the dynamic development of Uzbek-British trade and economic cooperation, as well as the favorable investment and business environment created through reforms led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
A video presentation was then shown about the activities of one of BMB HOLDING’s major agricultural producers, highlighting its main areas of operation and successfully implemented projects in the investment, export, and trade sectors.
Next, the floor was given to Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB HOLDING, who also emphasized that Uzbekistan’s economic liberalization policies in recent years have contributed to increased business activity, the expansion of foreign economic relations, the attraction of direct foreign investment, and the implementation of joint projects with leading European companies.
The business forum participants showed particular interest in BMB HOLDING’s successful cases, such as the cultivation, processing, and export of saffron products under the BMB Za’faron brand to European countries, as well as the well-structured value chain encompassing cultivation, deep processing of high-quality agricultural products, with quality confirmed by international certifications.
Representatives of British business circles also expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with the Uzbek business community through BMB HOLDING, which has extensive experience in successfully implementing joint investment and export projects and supplying high-quality agricultural products to the UK market, including the national product under the BMB Za’faron brand.
Overall, the forum facilitated a productive exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to Uzbek-British cooperation in investment, export, and trade.
Based on the outcomes of the event, participants identified promising directions for expanding and deepening mutually beneficial partnerships between business circles of both countries through collaboration with BMB HOLDING.
