On February 2 of this year, a meeting was held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, between Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, and Oybek Eshonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Indonesia.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of exports of deeply processed agricultural products manufactured by the holding’s enterprises, as well as the prospects for implementing joint investment projects with the participation of Indonesian business circles.
Ambassador O. Eshonov noted that Indonesia is one of the largest economies in Southeast Asia, with a population exceeding 280 million people. In this regard, the Indonesian market represents significant interest for Uzbek producers in terms of consumer capacity and the diversification of export destinations. In particular, the parties discussed issues related to the import and export of raw and processed products, logistics capabilities, certification requirements, as well as prospects for cooperation in the agro-industrial and food sectors.
In addition, the interest of Indonesian business circles in implementing projects in Uzbekistan was highlighted, including initiatives aimed at developing logistics solutions, agriculture, the food and chemical industries, as well as expanding trade and economic engagement in regional markets.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to establish direct contacts with relevant Indonesian companies in order to further discuss specific export-import and investment initiatives on a mutually beneficial basis.
