The engagement of Uzbekistan’s business community on the international stage continues to expand steadily. In particular, a delegation of more than 150 entrepreneurs, led by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, took part in an international conference held in Hong Kong on May 4 of this year.
The main objective of the visit was to promote locally produced goods to foreign markets, including third-country markets, expand export geography, and establish new international partnerships.
As part of the visit program, an Uzbekistan Business Evening was organized at the venue of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. The event brought together Uzbek entrepreneurs as well as representatives of leading business associations and the broader business community of Hong Kong.
Held in an open and informal format, the event created favorable conditions for building effective cooperation among participants. Members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the activities of leading organizations in Hong Kong, modern business models, and advanced practices in innovation, investment, and technology.
In addition, a presentation on the investment potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan was delivered during the event. Participants were provided with detailed information on the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country, as well as the favorable conditions and new opportunities being created for foreign investors.
During the meetings, Aziz Mamatkulov, a member of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, held a series of negotiations with international partners. In particular, meetings took place with Sophia Chong, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Winnie Chan, Senior Vice President, International Markets, Consulates and Chambers of InvestHK, Chau Chi Fai, Director of Wanson Construction, and Steve Choi, Executive Director of Markinze company, where the parties discussed prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation and implementing joint investment projects.
We will continue to inform our subscribers about other events taking place within the framework of the visit in our upcoming posts.
