On August 25 this year, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, held a meeting with Yeraly Tugzhanov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Bekzod Mamatkulov warmly congratulated Ambassador Tugzhanov on the start of his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan and wished him every success in his responsible role. He also conveyed his congratulations on the successful elections of deputies to the Kurultai held in Kazakhstan on August 23.
During the talks, BMB HOLDING’s investment and export potential, international experience, consulting services, as well as its initiatives in the agro-industrial sector, processing, logistics, tourism and other areas were presented.
The parties primarily exchanged views on increasing the volume of agricultural products grown and deeply processed by enterprises within the Holding and supplied to the Kazakh market, as well as on developing new export destinations.
In the tourism sector, the parties reached an agreement to develop and introduce reciprocal tourism packages aimed at increasing tourist flows between the two countries. They also discussed making broader use of the opportunities offered by restaurants and hotels operating under the Za’faron brand for tourists from Kazakhstan.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for the use of natural BMB Za’faron products grown in the Jizzakh region within Kazakhstan’s healthcare system. It is envisaged that relevant research will be launched, creating opportunities in the future for the joint production of biologically active supplements and pharmaceutical products.
The meeting also addressed new investment initiatives, including the deep processing of wheat, the production of high-value-added products and opportunities for exporting them to third-country markets.
Bekzod Mamatkulov invited Ambassador Yeraly Tugzhanov to visit the Jizzakh region to gain insight into BMB HOLDING’s enterprises operating in the region.
In turn, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan invited a BMB HOLDING working group to visit Kazakhstan to explore the country’s investment environment, identify new business opportunities and develop promising joint projects. The visit is planned for September.
Following the meeting, which was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen trade and economic ties through concrete export and investment initiatives, develop new business opportunities and expand partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.
