PROSPECTS FOR COOPERATION WITH THE SOSEDI RETAIL CHAIN DISCUSSED

On August 26 of this year, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus, negotiations were held via videoconference between Bobir Yakhyaev, Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations at BMB HOLDING, Galina Leonenya, Head of Foreign Economic Activities at the Sosedi retail chain, and Tatyana Petrashkevich, Head of the Procurement Department.

The online meeting focused on the new stage of Uzbek-Belarusian relations, the dynamics of trade and economic cooperation, as well as opportunities to expand engagement between the business communities of the two countries. It was noted that the establishment of strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus on July 9, 2026, provides a strong foundation for further development of trade, investment, and business ties.

During the negotiations, the Belarusian market was identified as one of the promising destinations for expanding BMB HOLDING’s export geography. Particular attention was paid to the potential supply of fresh and processed fruit and vegetable products, dried fruits, nuts, legumes, frozen and freeze-dried products, concentrates, as well as other high-value-added products.

The main objective of the cooperation is to establish stable and long-term trade relations. In this regard, BMB HOLDING expressed its readiness to adapt its product range, packaging, and technical specifications to the requirements of Belarusian importers and retail chains, as well as to explore opportunities for contract manufacturing.

At the next stage of negotiations, BMB HOLDING plans to prepare a package of specific commercial proposals tailored to the requirements of the Belarusian market, including product assortment, technical specifications, supply volumes, pricing, and cooperation terms.

This dialogue represents another practical step for BMB HOLDING towards expanding its export opportunities in the Belarusian market, introducing Uzbek products through new sales channels, and developing long-term cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
