NEW PROSPECTS FOR COOPERATION WITH KAZAKHSTAN: EXPORTS, TOURISM AND INVESTMENT

On October 6 of this year, a meeting was held between Khayrulla Nabijonov, Deputy General Director of BMB HOLDING, and Nurlan Makazhanov, Trade and Economic Affairs Advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on further developing trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, strengthening export potential, expanding cooperation in tourism, and exploring new opportunities for attracting investment.

It was noted that economic cooperation between the two countries continues to develop steadily. At the meeting between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan held in Bukhara in April 2026, it was noted that bilateral trade reached $5 billion in 2025. At the same time, the two sides set a goal of increasing this figure to $10 billion in the near future. This creates additional opportunities for entering new markets, increasing export volumes and expanding export geography.

In this context, particular attention was paid to expanding the presence of BMB HOLDING products in the Kazakh market, establishing cooperation with new buyers and broadening export geography. In particular, the meeting considered opportunities to export agricultural products and deep-processed products stored in the Holding’s warehouses to Kazakhstan, taking into account market demand and requirements.

In the tourism sector, the parties reached agreements on establishing direct contacts with tour operators, tourism and DMC companies in Kazakhstan, as well as providing them with information about ZA’FARON PREMIUM HOTEL properties, commercial proposals and terms of cooperation.

The significant flow of tourists from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan demonstrates the strong potential of this area. In particular, more than 2.17 million foreign citizens from Kazakhstan visited Uzbekistan in January–August 2026.

Investment cooperation was also given particular attention during the meeting. The parties discussed identifying potential investors in Kazakhstan, presenting BMB HOLDING’s promising projects, and establishing direct dialogue with interested parties. In this regard, developing systematic cooperation with the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan was identified as one of the key priorities.

The meeting also became a logical continuation of the negotiations held in August between Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, and Yeraly Tugzhanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The latest dialogue helped define specific tasks aimed at advancing the previously reached agreements through practical measures.

Following the constructive discussions, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in priority areas, make effective use of existing opportunities, and promote new practical initiatives in trade, exports, tourism and investment.
