On October 8 of this year, Khayrulla Nabijonov, Deputy General Director of BMB HOLDING, met with Ajay Rawat, Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of India in Uzbekistan.
The meeting took place at a new stage in Uzbekistan–India relations, which have been elevated to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership. The parties discussed expanding trade and economic ties, making effective use of export and investment potential, and developing cooperation in tourism, sports, and media.
In the area of trade, the discussions focused on opportunities to introduce BMB HOLDING products to the Indian market, establish direct contacts with buyers and distributors, and increase exports of agricultural products and value-added processed goods. In this regard, the target of increasing bilateral trade turnover to USD 5 billion by 2030 was highlighted as an important opportunity for further cooperation.
The meeting marked a logical continuation of the B2B discussions initiated during the Uzbekistan–India Business Forum held in New Delhi in August this year, with the participation of Bobir Yakhyayev, Director of the Foreign Economic Relations Department at BMB HOLDING. Particular attention was paid to maintaining the momentum of these contacts and developing concrete export and investment projects on this basis.
The parties also exchanged views on attracting potential Indian investors and major companies to BMB HOLDING’s promising projects, as well as implementing joint investment and industrial cooperation initiatives.
In tourism, the discussions covered opportunities to strengthen cooperation with Indian tour operators, travel companies, and destination management companies (DMCs), as well as to promote ZA’FARON PREMIUM HOTEL properties in the Indian market.
In the sports sector, the parties explored opportunities for exchanging expertise, organizing joint sporting events and training camps, and developing sports tourism. These discussions also took into account the activities of Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, in his capacity as President of the Uzbekistan Futsal Federation.
In the media sector, the parties discussed leveraging the capabilities of BMB MEDIA MARKAZ, part of BMB HOLDING, to promote Uzbekistan’s economic, investment, and tourism potential to Indian audiences, as well as to implement joint media and communications initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue with the Embassy, strengthening ties between the business communities of the two countries, and translating the initiatives discussed into concrete practical projects.
The meeting marked a practical step toward further developing Uzbekistan–India cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, sports, and media.
