The Bakhmal district stands out from other regions with its unique climate and clean air. The soil and natural conditions here are ideal for growing unique medicinal plants. In particular, Bakhmal is considered one of the most favorable places for cultivating saffron.
As previously reported, in recent years, the area of saffron plantations in the district has been steadily expanding. This year, the plantations have grown from 700 to 820 hectares.
Currently, the saffron flowers have already begun to bloom in the fields, delighting the eye with their beauty. Hardworking residents of Bakhmal go out into the fields every day, where the first stage of the saffron harvest has already begun.
Ahead lies a whole season of full-scale saffron harvesting.
Preliminary results already indicate that this year’s harvest will be distinguished by both high quality and volume.
The saffron harvest will also help create additional jobs, which will have a positive impact on local employment.
