PROSPECTS FOR FURTHER EXPANSION OF COOPERATION WITH LATVIA DISCUSSED

On January 20 of the current year, Chairman of the Founders board of BMB HOLDING Bekzod Mamatkulov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Girts Jaunzems.

During the meeting, information was presented on the main areas of activity of the enterprises within the BMB HOLDING structure, their export potential, ongoing joint investment projects, as well as the results achieved to date.

In the course of the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on the rapidly growing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Latvia in the field of agricultural product supplies carried out by the Holding’s enterprises.

Ambassador Girts Jaunzems noted that BMB HOLDING is currently successfully developing trade and economic relations with a number of European Union countries, including Italy, Germany, Austria, and others. In this regard, he подчеркнул the timeliness and relevance of establishing similar business contacts with representatives of Latvian business circles.

The parties expressed the view that there are significant opportunities for further expanding economic cooperation between the two countries. In this context, it was noted that BMB HOLDING considers Latvia not only as a separate sales market, but also as a promising logistics hub for the systematic export of products grown and processed in Uzbekistan to European markets.

The meeting also addressed the prospects for implementing joint projects in the territories of Uzbekistan and Latvia, as well as issues related to the development of cooperation in the logistics sector, including the possibility of establishing a joint venture.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation, expand trade and economic ties, and closely collaborate in the implementation of joint investment projects.
