On 30 January of this year, a meeting was held in Rome, the capital of Italy, between Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, and Abat Fayzullayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Italy.
At the beginning of the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the fact that trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy has been developing at an accelerated pace in recent years.
In particular, the parties positively noted the agreements reached the previous day with Paolo Berlusconi, President of BERLUSCONI FINANZIARIA, on projects in the mining sector, as well as on the introduction of modern energy-saving technologies in Uzbekistan. They also highlighted the agreements reached with Alessandro Mombelloni, Advisor to the President of the Italian office of Business Integration Partners (BIP), on continuing the transition of enterprises within the BMB HOLDING structure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
At the same time, Ambassador A. Fayzullayev emphasized that the project implemented jointly with Italian partners for the cultivation, processing and export of saffron in Uzbekistan is one of the vivid examples of effective trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Following the meeting, which was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation with representatives of Italian business circles in the investment and trade-economic spheres, as well as to continue dialogue aimed at attracting foreign investment into the economy of Uzbekistan.
