On June 16 of this year, Bekzod Mamatkulov, Chairman of the Founders Board of BMB HOLDING, held a meeting with Guido De Sanctis, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the steady development of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Italy. They noted the continued expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as the advancement of mutually beneficial relations to a new level.

Particular attention was paid to the practical outcomes of bilateral cooperation. In particular, the saffron cultivation project in the Jizzakh region, implemented jointly with Italian partners, was highlighted as a vivid example of effective collaboration in introducing modern technologies and advanced expertise into the agricultural sector.

The parties also discussed opportunities for further expanding cooperation with Italian business circles and implementing new promising projects. They reviewed the prospects for launching joint initiatives by drawing on Italy’s advanced technologies and extensive experience in the fields of energy, environmental protection, transport, and the production of sanitary and plumbing products.

Special attention was also given to strengthening cooperation in the social sphere. In particular, an agreement was reached to jointly organize cultural and sporting events with the support of the Embassy of Italy, aimed at promoting futsal and football, as well as encouraging a healthy lifestyle among young people.

At the conclusion of the meeting, which was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in the economic, investment, social, and cultural spheres, implementing new joint initiatives, and consistently developing long-term partnership relations.
